After an exciting first night in Aylmerton, the children feasted on a hearty breakfast and readied themselves for a day of adventure!
Group 1 set the sails and hoisted the flag for a day of skullduggery and pirate training. They mastered the low ropes, swung on rigging, used teamwork to solve tricky problems and raided the nearby woods to build pirate dens. After pausing for breath, they headed out for a night of bowling fun - a perfect ten all round!
Group 2 had the pleasure of investigating the rock pools of West Runton, learning about the seaside ecosystems and how the weather shapes the cliffs and surrounding environment. After searching for precious stones, we hiked along the beach to nearby Cromer where we lunched on the pier in glorious sunshine. Following our delightful lunch, we headed up the steeple of Cromer church to bask in the glory of the beautiful Norfolk sunshine. After dinner, we got cosy in our PJs and settled in for an evening with a professional storyteller.
