We have studied different parts of the Bayeux Tapestry and have now started to recreate our own version!

The children have sketched different parts of the tapestry and have used watercolours to recreate the colours of the tapestry. They have finished painting the borders and are now ready to start painting the main part of the tapestry! The watercolours required very careful concentration, but at least the children didn’t have to stitch it for 200 hours like the original!
