History came alive as we trained as Roman centurions, learnt about how the Romans lived and explored the remains of Ratae Corieltauvorum’s (The Roman name for Leicester) public baths. We put our history detective skills to the test by inspecting Roman artefacts in groups to decide what they would have been used for. Did you know that Romans had a skin scraper to clean the dirt from their skin? Yuck! Jupiter was smiling down on us as the rain held off long enough for us to fully enjoy all the site had to offer.
