In the afternoon we collected and identified stones and shells from the beach. Our final challenge of the day was to walk over the Blakeney Point mud flats bare footed! It was fantastic to see all the children get stuck in, it was cold at first but everyone laughed so much they soon forgot about that! We walked all the way back to Blakeney and the coach collected us so that we could go back to the centre and get ready for the disco. There was some very tired eyes on the bus journey home but they soon woke up as they heard the beat of the music. Everyone had a amazing time at the disco, they showcased their best dance moves and put Mr Narborough to shame! Now it's time to settle down with a nice hot chocolate before we have our last sleep at Aylmerton.
The coach arrived to take us to Mortston and the ferry left the harbour at 9:15. We travelled over to Blakeney Point but before we landed we saw some amazing sights! We saw seals on the beach, houseboats and the guides told us lots of interesting facts about the area and the wildlife. After that we landed on the pebbly beach and set off to trek around Blakeney Point so that we could understand the key facts about the natural habitats, the wildlife and the eco-system. Our guides were brilliant and they were able to answer all our questions. Finally we stopped for lunch and we sat on the beach to eat our food whilst appreciating the views and the landscape. Some of us even fell asleep as we listened to the calming sound of the waves and wildlife.
