Jo Jordan has worked tirelessly to ensure everybody was in the right place at the fright time and encouraged us all to keep going with sustenance and encouragement. She is a superstar.

During the week we have been so thankful to all our amazing parents for their support and enthusiasm. Special thanks to Rachel Hough and Sarah Spray for their time, creativity and talent. We would also like to thank all the talented parents who led or organised workshops. Thank you; Anna, Sarah, Lucy, Kerry, Cassie, Rosy, Lizzie, Lucy, David and Jo and of course the fabulous Kibworth Mental Health and Wellbeing fund. So many parents helped making toast, reading, taking part in activities, attending sessions it just made everyone feel good!

Key Stage one children had a brilliant introduction to meditation. Thank you to Emma from The Well and Mrs.Lakin for all your hard work and inspiration. The children loved it!

Mr. Bradley and the Internet Safety Cadets led a thought provoking assembly on internet safety for years 4,5 & 6. The cadets had all attended DSAT training led by Mr Lapidge and it was clear to see that they are taking their new roles very seriously. Following the assembly we welcomed nearly 100 parents to an Internet Safety talk from Leicestershire Constabulary. This is such an important subject so we were delighted that so many made time to come and listen to the advice the police gave. Huge thanks to Anna for keeping us informed and making sure we alert all our parents to the dangers of the web and social media.

Highlights of the week included:

Toast and read every morning with a record 240 attending on Thursday. Mr Stone popped in for a slice of toast on Friday and was delighted to see so many children and their parents enjoying a good read.

Mrs Torpey and the Friendship officers led a brilliant Worship focussing on how to make friends - and keep them! Then Olivia and Kirsty from the KPA opened our new friendship bench. It has already been well used.

Everyone has been working on their pebbles for our new ‘Peace Path’.

Ash Randall the free style footballer taught us all some amazing tricks and convinced us that if we really, really try we can be good at anything.

Staff and children enjoyed Pilates. Many of us are now determined to make this part of our daily regime.

Cassie and Sarah got the week off to a brilliant start by helping us to understand ‘It’s good to be different’.

Clare from ‘Oadby Free Spirit’ taught us how to de – stress and offered a range of strategies to enable children to cope in challenging situations and with anxiety.

Throughout the week we had a huge range of therapists giving advice to children, parents and staff. Thank you so much to Michelle and Kate for organising this for our school.

The children loved both the ‘Therapy dog’ and the visit from the Olympic eventer.

The cake sale was a huge success! Thank you so much to all who donated and purchased. We know how busy everyone is and really appreciate your support.

Finally, what a finale! Our whole school dance led by Lois, Natalia, Neo and Tilly.
