This week saw Year 5 lead the very first collective worship at St Wilfrid’s Church. After looking at the story of the Good Samaritan in class, the children thought about who they consider to be their neighbour. As a group, they discussed the people they live near, friends, parents and even people in other parts of the country. With this is mind, Year 5 headed down to the church to share their thoughts and the story from the Bible with the rest of Key Stage 2. This occasion was made even more special because a number of parents and grandparents also made their way to the church. Year 5 are now looking forward to their next trip to the church and are excited to see what themes other children are exploring in R.E.
