After an exciting start, meeting the personified character of the disease, Pestilence, the children have jumped head first into the topic, exploring how the disease spread through growing their own bacteria, learning about the gruesome symptoms of the disease (which Mr Whiting contracted one Wednesday afternoon) and looking at how Medieval society differs to ours today. Unsurprisingly, the boys were happy to hear that they'd be well into their training to become a knight if they were alive in the 14th Century! We now look forward to learning even more and will be sad when The Plague ends!
