After a delayed start, Year 6 made good time up to Castleton and arrived in glorious sunshine! Following a quick bite to eat, the children were introduced to their team leader for the week and headed straight off to their first activity. From abseiling (which Mrs Paterson thoroughly enjoyed), to high ropes, problem solving and weaselling, everyone rose to the task! The most challenging part of the day followed afterwards – making of the beds!! Following a quick demonstration from the Hollowford Centre Staff, the children set off to work – they all now know the most efficient way to get their duvet inside the cover! 80 ravenous children and staff then finally had a chance to sit down and refuel – a delicious first meal as ever! To end the day, pyjamas and onesies donned, the children all settled down for a film. We are all really excited to see what the rest of the week holds!
