What is Asha?

Asha is a charity set up by Dr. Kiran Martin in 1988, which works with around 500,000 people in nearly 60 slum colonies in Delhi, India. Asha aims to tackle all the issues that can keep slum dwellers trapped in poverty. Their programmes help slum residents gain access to healthcare, financial services, and education, and make it possible for them to make long-term, positive changes to their lives.
